OTHERS PEOPLES BOATS

This post is all about detailing the gear I like to lake along if I am fishing in other peoples boats. That of course is dependent on  the target species and the fishing enviroment including water depth water currents, wind etc.

FISHING GEAR SUCH AS rod and reel COMBO, TERMINAL TACKLE, BAIT ETC

FOR SCROUNGERS SUCH AS BREAM, SNAPPER,ETC MY PREFERRED COMBO IS MADE UP OF F ONE OF MY 7 FOOT 

VENOM RODS AND REEL matched to a Shimano reel loaded with 30 lb braid

with the rod and reel not set up with any tackle but with just the tag end of the backing presenting out of the tip pf the rod.

Slide the minimum size running sinker onto the tag end and tie a swivel directly below that.

1. this rig is best for a single hCut a 60 cm (In my case an arms length) of 10lb fluorocarbon leader for a two hook rig or half that for a one hook rig.
2. Tie one of your selected hooks in at the business end.
3. If your using a two hook rig 30cm up from the first hook attach a 30cm dropper with a second hook at its business end.
4. Tie a swivel to the none hook end of the running sinker rig.

1. I like mustard size 4 red  hooks for bream and Shinto size 4 red hooks for whiting.

I carry a couple of these set up rigs on a foam pad so that when I want to utilize one all I have to do is to thread a running sinker of the minimum size that will work for the structure and current conditions to the tip of the line on the rod and  then just tie the business end of the backing of to the swivel on the running sinker rig.
