My boat & trailer access is often blocked by other vehicles.
A common problem I encounter is that other vehicles such as this truck often block my driveway so I cant back my trailer and boat in.

You wouldn’t believe it, just a week down the track here is another car blocking my driveway.

- Because we have a 50 meter or so long driveways which adjoins our neighbors driveway rather than trying to back past these offending vehicles I now drive straight into my driveway even though that means I am facing the wrong direction to stow my boat trailer and boat in my boat shed at the end of the drive.
- I then drive half down the drive so at that point the trailer and boat are still behind the tow car but are facing away from the road entry.
- I then unhitch the boat and trailer from the car.
- Using the more than adequate width of our driveway and the adjoined neighbors driveways I rotate by hand the trailer and boat 90 degrees so that its square to the driveway.
- Then I move the ply so that I can rotate by hand the trailer and boat a final 90 degrees without damaging the grass. So at that at stage the tailor boat are facing the opposite direction to the direction the the trailer and boat was facing when i first drove into my driveway.

- The next step is to drive the car back down my neighbors driveway down to the to the road, turn it around and back up the drive so that the trailer and boat can be re attached to the car and they can now be backed down the balance of the way down my driveway.
- Once the trailer and boat are on the flat concrete surface outside the boat shed I disconnect them from the car again and move the car just a meter or so forward giving me space to flush the boat motor and to wash the boat and fishing gear etc.
- When that is all done I push by hand the trailer and boat into the boat shed and put the car away in the house garage.
