- Wind the thread in touching turns to the bend of the hook tying in the ribbing material as you go.

- Using the single strand method of dubbing dub on a thin body of UV dubbing along the rear 3/4 of the hook shank

- Wind the ribbing material forward forming 4 or 5 body segments.

- Trim the excess ribbing material.

- Tie in a wing of flashy material.

- Trim the excess wing material behind the eye of the hook.
- Trim the wing so that its just slightly longer than the hook shank.
- Build up a neat head of thread.

- Whip finish, trim the thread and varnish the head of the fly.
