Halco Laser Pro 120

The L120 swims at around 2.5M on the cast and just a little lower than that on the troll.

The cast has a straight tradectory because the weights move to the rear of the lure and then as the retrieve starts the weights lock in place back towards the front of the lure enhancing the swimming action of the lure.

Pull the lure fast through the water using the rod then retrieve the slack line and repeat it again, this will often attract a strike from even the wariest predators.

Use the “rip and stop” technique for explosive surface strikes. Note that when the lure stops moving it is pointing slightly left or right with the nose slightly down. It is in the ideal position for an immediate and erratic action when ripped. The Laser Pro 120 is also ideal for a slow retrieve with light twitching movement from the rod tip.

H79-stripy R25-mullet
I have a thing about purple over chrome when to comes to hard body lyres and fortunately the L120 has H79 Stripy in its range that fits that bill exactly so that has been my first choice of colours for a couple of years now. My second choice is the R25 Mullet which is fairly natural in colours as far as hard bodied lures go but it's a great colour for barra particularly around weed edges on relatively bright days days.
