Single hitches done with a biro (remove the refill first)

 
A
  1. Take a simple inside loop over the end of the pen.

B
  1. Rotate the pen clockwise it will move up the thread to the eye of the hook.
  2. Slip the open end of the pen over the eye of the hook.

C
  1. Slide the pen out of the way pulling on the bobbing thread at the same time to tighten the knot.
