Articulated baitfish – big fish fly version

This fly has been designed to have an obvious bait fish profile and is my 'goto' fly when targeting sighted big ambush predators or pelagics or when prospecting for the same predators around structure. This is a big fly with the #4/0 version being 11.5 cm long but because it's unweighted it's relatively easy to cast.

Christmas Island Special – mauve

This is the newest addition to my top six CXI special colours. It's a little more subtle than the electric camel but I think that adds to its appeal to bone fish.

Christmas Island Special – orange pearl

Orange pearl is one of my favourite colour combinations of Christmas Island Special (CXI) flies that my mates and I have seen on our various trips to Christmas Island and Aitutaki. It is generally in the top 6 producing colours of CXI flies on every trips.

Tidal flats shrimp – orange and brown

This orange and brown size #2 hook version of my tidal flats shrimp is my first choice of fly when targeting feeding trigger fish. It stands out in the storm of mud and other debris that trigger fish stir up as they forage around for food.
