Barramundi – soft and hard vibes

Vibes area unique type of lure and some of the retrieves you can achieve with a vibe include after a long or short cast they can be swum back to the angler at different speeds, they can be dropped in difficult terrain such as next to a tree or other structure and then fished vertically or can be hopped back the the angler with or without pauses of any length.

Legs – palmered hackle

The term Palmering a fly has its origins around 1300 AD, that's right about 700 years ago. Whilst a fly can be palmered in either direction along the hook shank and doesn't necessarily require wire or thread to be wrapped along it in the opposite direction for reinforcement I always wind the hackle from front to back and reinforce the palmered hackle with thread or wire wound from the back to front.
