I have owned a number of canoes and kayaks over the years and the Hobie Mirage Outback shown below is by far the best of that type of fishing platform I have experienced.
They are light enough to be loaded onto and easily transported on the roof of the car, they're stable on the water, have plenty of storage, have a comfortable seat with plenty of back support, can be tricked up to complement how you fish and because your using your big leg muscles to propel them via the mirage drive your hands are relatively free for fishing and you don't get as tied as you would if you were propelling and maneuvering your fishing platform with ores or a paddle.
