Lures – coastal and estuary waters

Coastal waters such as Gladstone Harbour, the front of facing Island and estuary waters such as Coliseum Bay, 7 mile, Port Alma and Turkey Beach all have transient and in some cases resident populations of a range of popular species including blue and king salmon, mangrove jack and fingermark, barred and silver grunter and of course flathead.

This is a lure I have added to my Coastal and estuary lure box particularly for barred grunter. Grunter turn up in our estuaries and rivers during summer and will often stay there until heavy rain makes it too dirty for their liking. In times of low rain they may stay in their summer abode right through winter.
